The SB1-T optical smoke alarm ideal for grade F2 installations where cost is a priority. Optical alarms are recommended in the British Standard BS 5839-6 for installation in circulation areas such as hallways and landings. The optical smoke sensing chamber works by 'seeing' smoke as it enters the alarm - making it perfect for slow burning fires where there is thick white smoke.
